Are you interested in representing and advocating on behalf of Deaf Americans of the Midwest Region? This form is for MWR members who are interested running for open positions: Midwestern Regional Representative and Alternative Regional Representative.
The Midwest states are Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. There are seven (7) active Midwest BDA chapters in six (6) states: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, and Ohio.
Must be present at the conference. The requirement for these positions is as follows:
- Member, in good standing, of two (2) years (Attach proof)
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age
- Good American Sign Language (ASL) and written English skills
- Strong social and leadership skills
- Good communication and teamwork
- Strong internet connection, Zoom app, and Video-Phone

Midwest region will host its business meeting and election on July 20, 2024, at the MWR Conference in Indianapolis, IN. Midwest members will vote on the next 2024-2026 Midwestern Regional Representative and announce at the end of the conference. Hope to see you there!
